Fast Start Rules
Object:
Outrace your opponent across the ball field and create math problems by combining your numbered tivits with the other half of a math problem located on the score goals in order to produce equations with the highest answers. The Player with highest TOTAL score wins!
Definitions:
o Tivits – Five red and five blue numbered playing pieces which start in the dugout
o Game Sheets – More than 50 game sheets of varying skill levels, 1-8
o Score Goals – One “common” goal flanked by four red and four blue goals, all in the outfield. Each score goal contains a number value and a math operation such as add, subtract, multiply or divide.
Game Set-Up:
1) Choose “Play a Friend” or “Play Against the Computer.”
2) Choose a theme and a game level, then click “Generate a Random Game.” You will see a preview of the game sheet. You can either click “Play This Game” or try another by clicking once again “Generate a Random Game Sheet.”
Game Play:
1) Red moves first. Blue gets the last move.
2) Tivits move forward only, following diagonal lines, across game sheet to score-goals.
3) You may jump or multi-jump either color tivit without removing jumped tivit.
4) You cannot pass a move if you have a legal move available.
Game Over:
Game is over when one player captures ALL four score goals AND the “common” score goal has been captured by either player.
Scoring:
1) Only the tivits on score goals when game is over are used in calculating the score.
2) Solve the problems and type the answers into your score sheet.
3) The computer will check for any wrong answers.
4) Compare your score to your opponent’s score. The highest total score wins.
